ACC Hamilton

BFG were selected for the relocation and refurbishment of ACC’s Te Rapa, Hamilton offices, with responsibility for the complete supply and installation of all furniture across the site. The project supported a workforce of approximately 140 staff, requiring a carefully considered layout that balanced flexibility, functionality, and long term workplace efficiency.

Working closely with Pelorus, we developed a workspace solution centred around Link desking, supplied in both high leaner formats and low fixed-height bench layouts. This approach created a mix of touchdown spaces for transient staff while still providing dedicated work areas for those permanently based in the office. Sit/stand electric desking was incorporated for permanent workstations to support ergonomic working and encourage movement throughout the day. All desking included integrated cable reticulation as standard, allowing staff to easily connect laptops, mobile devices, and other equipment without clutter or disruption.

The finished environment delivers a modern, paperless workplace built around shared resources rather than individual storage. Multi-purpose lockers replaced traditional personal storage units, freeing up space while supporting a more flexible way of working. The result is a workspace that promotes cross-team collaboration, mobility, and a welcoming office culture, while still meeting the practical needs of a busy government workplace.
