Goal

The University of Auckland’s B507 Park West Building is a six-storey facility on the Grafton Campus, bringing together the School of Population Health and the School of Medicine in a central, research-integrated medical campus.

The goal of this project was to create a flexible working environment for both staff and students, with furniture solutions and integrated technology that supported collaboration, focus, and adaptability across the building.

How We Went About It

BFG worked closely with the University project team to coordinate the delivery and rollout of furniture on a floor-by-floor basis, ensuring the project timeframes were achieved efficiently and with minimal disruption.

Due to the scale of the project and the volume of furniture required, careful planning was essential. Raw materials were ordered well in advance to ensure manufacturing timelines could be met and delivery to site remained on schedule. This proactive approach allowed BFG to maintain a smooth production and installation programme while supporting the staged completion of the building.

Turn Out

The finished result is a well-considered, functional environment that supports the day-to-day needs of staff and students within a modern medical and research setting. The furniture solutions delivered flexibility, durability, and consistency throughout the building, contributing to a cohesive workspace that aligns with the University’s vision for an integrated and future-focused campus.
